Pablo Aragón is a PhD candidate at the Artificial Intelligence group - Universitat Pompeu Fabra, under the supervision of Dr. Vicenç Gómez and Dr. Andreas Kaltenbrunner. Since 2011 he works as a researcher at the Digital Humanities Unit in Eurecat - Technology Centre of Catalonia (formerly the Social Media Research group in Barcelona Media), where his main activity deals with retrieving, analysing and visualising Big Data from the Social Web. Pablo focuses on the study of the effects of digital platforms in citizen participatory processes as well as communication dynamics and information diffusion in the context of emerging grassroot movements.
